Punjab Social Protection Policy has identified income insecurity among the elderly and the disabled as one of the challenges facing Punjab. In addition, under ILO Recommendation 202 (2012), the protection of basic income for elderly people is in the destination of social security. Pakistan is the only exception in the comparison countries where there is no social pension scheme for the elderly.

Bangladesh, India, and other regional countries began to create such a scheme in the 1990s, so establishing a cash transfer program for the elders is essential for the state to take responsibility for the elders.

Sila-e-Fun Program Online Registration

Sila-e-Fun Program is an unconditional cash transfer program. The Punjab Social Protection Authority has launched a reward and Sila-e-Fun program in all 36 districts of Punjab and has filled the gap for elderly artists serving in the field for more than 25 years.

It will provide pensions for poets and media of the elders and needy artists of Punjab who have served in their fields like film, TV, literature, poetry journalism, cinema, music, painting, etc. Artists above fifty years will be provided Rs 5,000 monthly whose monthly income is less than Rs. 15,000.

Purpose of Sila-e-Fun Program

The project aims to improve the social and economic welfare of the people of Punjab and financially weaker artists who have served in their fields. This program is designed for the following purposes.
The poor and financially weaker artists of Punjab have to improve their social involvement by providing dignified social assistance.

Sila-e-Fun Program Eligibility Criteria

The program is not built for all people, so a qualification standard for joining this program is made to meet you. You may be involved in this program.

• Artists fifty years of age can join this.
• They should have 25 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Their monthly income should be less than 15 thousand.
• They should have a national identity card number from Pakistan.
• And he is from the districts of Punjab.
